What's On
StrathRRag Braefordie Summer Camp
A fantastic time was had by members of the StrathRRag (Strathearn Riders and Rural Access Group) recently when they paid a visit to Fordie’s spectacular Braefordie Bothy while on a hacking and history tour of the Estate with our Estate Manager, Steve Hunt.
They enjoyed 2 days riding through some of Perthshire’s most wonderful landscapes while learning about Fordie’s tree planting schemes, archaeological sites, ancient woodland, and Foresight Group’s wider vision generally for the future of the Estate.
They spent a lovely evening, catered for by local Chef, Andrew Scott, and although the weather was slightly ‘dreich’ it did not dampen the spirits one bit! The sight of their beautiful native breed ponies quietly grazing around the Bothy with a little swirl of smoke coming from the chimney, with the wood burner lit and cosy within , and the backdrop of Fordie hill shrowded in mist was quite a sight to behold.
We hope to welcome them and their wonderful ponies back again next Year!

The Strathearn Ramblers
The Strathearn Ramblers popped in to our Map Room here at Fordie recently for a pit stop while on their Annual Christmas Ramble!
They were celebrating their 30th Anniversary of being a popular and vibrant local Group, and enjoyed some warming mulled wine and festive treats!
What a great bunch they were and we thoroughly enjoyed them dropping in.
We would love for more Local Community Groups to reach out and make use of our Map Room facility here, so please do make contact with our Office for more details.
