The Map Room

Once the Estate’s historic “Gun Room,” The Map Room at Fordie Estate has been thoughtfully reimagined as a welcoming, light-filled space for community use throughout the year. Warm, comfortable and full of character, it offers an inviting setting for local community groups and organisations seeking a regular meeting place or a flexible training venue.
 

With 465 square feet of adaptable space, The Map Room comfortably accommodates 12–14 guests around its large central table—ideal for board meetings, workshops or collaborative sessions. The table can easily be repositioned to create additional open floor space, making the room equally suited to activities such as yoga, keep-fit classes or informal group gatherings.
 

A large hot water urn, along with tea and coffee facilities, is provided to keep everyone refreshed, and catering for working lunches or special gatherings can be arranged in advance. Guests also benefit from on-site parking, complimentary Wi-Fi and convenient access to restroom facilities.
